Phil Mangos

Lifestyle, horticulture, rural, subdivision specialist

THE PRACTICAL ACHIEVER
In Phil Mangos what you see is what you get, goals are set to be met, communication is straight up, his no-nonsense approach is a charm, and actions speak volumes. In under a decade Phil has risen rapidly through the ranks of Bayleys, from Rookie of the Year in his first twelve months with Bayleys, to Top 5% of salespeople nationwide, with multiple other awards reinforcing his expertise. As a former kiwifruit orchardist and current grower of avocados on a lifestyle property, Phil enjoys and understands rural life, appreciating the challenges faced and benefits to be gained from the lifestyle, horticulture and rural blocks he specialises in. Phil shares that love of the land that often makes selling (and purchasing) an emotional experience, his combination of empathy and honesty displaying that he genuinely has his clients’ best interests at heart. Add those good old qualities of dependability and reliability, and the ability to rise to a challenge and seek solutions, and you have an advocate who will work tirelessly to help you achieve your real estate goals. His monthly “Goss with Phil Mangos” newsletters demonstrates his in-depth knowledge across the industry, negotiations are handled with precision and consideration, bespoke marketing tools are crafted just for his clients – with sellers and buyers often saying they come to see Phil as a life-long friend following a job well done, and well after the sold sign goes up. In stolen moments, you might just find Phil on the golf course, or on the water continuing his love affair with fishing.

Robyn Mangos

Lifestyle, horticulture, rural sales

THE INNOVATIVE FACILITATOR
Robyn came to real estate after a stellar career in accountancy and practice management where she was commended for her contribution to the growth, prosperity, culture and success of the firm, but most importantly for the way she cared about the people and facilitated the success of others - all skills and qualities that make her a valuable asset in the real estate industry, and enhance the experience for clients as they embark on selling or buying property. Robyn enjoys throwing on a pair of gumboots and connecting with her rural roots, brought up on a Tauranga dairy farm which was later converted to kiwifruit. Her outgoing nature, ability to think laterally and focus on the big picture brings out the best in people and situations, and is the perfect complement to Phil’s proven ability to relate to his clients and do the hard yards. Robyn’s focus is on ensuring clients have a first-rate experience, as well as working alongside Phil listing property for the team’s portfolio, communicating with vendors to ensure they are kept fully informed, working with buyers to help them find their dream property, and business development. Outside of work, Robyn enjoys a diverse range of creative interests including a passion for fashion and design (a love that their three daughters now enjoy as careers and study), gardening and preparing gourmet meals. Phil and Robyn are very social and love to entertain, a great way to build connections on a personal level and unwind after a busy week.

Char Niles

Licensed Personal Assistant to the Mangos Team

THE MULTI-TASKING SUPPORTER
You are far more likely to see Char in gumboots than high heels, just one reason she is the perfect fit for the Phil and Robyn Mangos team.
Char’s upbringing on a large dairy farm has instilled in her a strong work ethic and can-do attitude, skills that enable her to thrive as an efficient PA on the Mangos team. With a Diploma of Management and marketing studies under her belt, she brings to the team a huge depth of career experience in managing lots of balls in the air. Char plays a crucial role charged with applying her multi-tasking magic in keeping the high-performing team organised and productive, ensuring that client transactions run smoothly and efficiently, while supporting Phil and Robyn’s focus on building strong relationships with their clients, and selling properties. Also a licensed real estate salesperson, Char has a solid understanding of the local property market, coupled with excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail. Her management and marketing background is instrumental in running effective systems, ensuring deadlines are met, devising social media strategies, customising targeted marketing plans for clients, campaign delivery, and co-ordinating photographers, writers and videographers to produce compelling content. You won’t find Char stuck behind an office desk for long though. She sees every property in the Mangos portfolio, occasionally runs open homes, is sometimes behind the video lens, and handles the paper work and other legal documents related to real estate transactions. After years as serial renovators, the Niles have built a new home in Omokoroa. Gumboots are good in new gardens! Plus, there’s time for .action adventures on the bike, paddleboard and ski.
